It is possible that almost everyone has been to Surfers Paradise at some time, to enjoy the beach, the night life or one of the many festivals held there.
Fieldworx staffers, Kate Fell, Sandra Fields and Sue Wright have been working with Gold Coast City Council to build a new vision for iconic tourist destination, Surfers Paradise.
Taking the great ideas gathered at two workshops, conducted by futurist Sohail Inayatullah, Kate and Sue worked to develop the vision that Council is now using to gather further ideas from the community, visitors and business.
Community consultation kicked off on Monday 31 January and closes on 25 March 2011, so there’s plenty of time for everyone to tell Council what they think Surfers Paradise should look and feel like in 2040.

In February and March, Fieldworx will also be out and about in Surfers Paradise, talking to visitors, businesses and organisations about their vision for Surfers Paradise. So if you see us out and about on the Gold Coast, say a big hello and tell us your vision for Surfers Paradise.
