Fieldworx Office Coordinator Samantha Tilly shares her personal experience of the recent Queensland Floods :
I have lived in Condamine all of my life and when out to stay over the Christmas period, we were stranded for 12 days. The amount of flooding that was witnessed was just phenomenal, as majority of our 15,000 acre property was put under water.
This has been the worse flood that my family has ever seen in all their history and it has caused an enormous amount of damage. This damage has seen crops ruined, fences destroyed and years of work demolished and eroded. In order to save livestock, a helicopter was hired to move cattle to higher ground.
Having seen all of this first hand, I am well aware that these floods have had a devastating impact on our local community and surrounding properties. To see that majority of Queensland has also been affected by this natural disaster breaks my heart, but know it will make us stronger and we will all band together to help one another. Please help Queensland by donating to the Flood Appeal.
