Fieldworx undertook a review of the Indigenous arts key organisations and national infrastructure program through a nation wide consultation with a broad range of stakeholders.
Our approach was to design a community engagement process that gave all stakeholders from artists and elders in the Torres Strait and the Kimberley through to bureaucrats and arts workers in Canberra and Hobart the opportunity to have a say about what it would take to strengthen and build a sustainable future for Aboriginal arts and culture. Fieldworx developed a process which allowed the capturing of stories and experiences through a visual recording technique. In conjunction with a formal report Fieldworx has provided a tangible and symbolic outcome for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Arts Board which additionally provides a visual record documenting the hopes and vision for the future of Indigenous arts in Australia.
The outcome we were able to achieve for the Australia Council for the Arts was solid recommendations and a strong case for the support for a new approach to sustainable infrastructure funding for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Arts.

Fieldworx was commissioned to develop the Starburst Mentoring model to provide innovative ways to enhance creative pathways and career development opportunities for young artists and artsworkers aged 15 to 30 years throughout Queensland.
The approach was to engage with a range of established and emerging artists, cultural organisations, youth arts companies, government and education institutions to identify innovative approaches and possibilities for state wide mentoring. Through consultation with a reference group, surveys, and interviews, we were able to identify the strengths and limitations of different mentoring programs. We applied our expertise from years of facilitating and evaluating mentoring models to develop a mentoring model that incorporated the needs of young people across a range of ages, locations, artforms and participation levels.
The outcome we were able to achieve for Arts Queensland was the development of a mentoring model suitable for Queensland’s unique cultural and geographical context.
Fieldworx supported the development of 3-yearly business plans for the organisation.
Our approach was to engage with the Board and staff through a series of focused workshops to facilitate the development of strategic, program, risk management, financial, succession and marketing plans. Each consecutive plan is reviewed with key strengths and successes analysed and challenges and obstacles are addressed.
The outcome we were able to achieve for Q Music is a business plan that has paved the way for the organisation to increase income, membership and sponsorship for events. Key staff positions have been increased, ongoing funding has been increased and secured, and the organisations' culture, focus and structure reinvigorated.
